Street ideas, flowers and furniture – die Philosophie der Straße

Die „Philosophie der Straße II“, ausgestellt im Projektraum von ProjectSTRAND.org in der Potsdamer Straße 69 vereinte Texte, Fotografien, Videofilme und Objektinstallationen. Die bildnerisch assoziative, metaphernreiche Herangehensweise an die Realität der Straße, verbunden mit philosophischen Texten, die über Alltagsphänomene des Erlebens, Wahrnehmens und Wissens reflektierten, spiegelten die Existenz der Straße in der ununterbrochenen Bewegung ihres Seins und Denkens.

Klie thematisierte bis 2006/2007 vor allem die Phänomene von Alltagswahrnehmungen auf Reisen und in Städten; er reiste nach Madrid („Neubenennung-Wiederherstellung“, 2005), Wien („80 ideas in situ“, 2006), Schweden und Norwegen („Die anfängliche Hoffnung“ / „Storyboard I–XII“, 2007) und erarbeitete in Berlin digitale Bildanimationen („20 Street Ideas“, „Street Ideas 01–30“, 2006).

„Street ideas, flowers and furniture“, ein Bildessay mit 31 Fotografien und 31 Texten, den er 2006 Ludwig Wittgenstein widmete, war  der Auftakt von etwa 30 aphoristischen Fotoessays, die bis 2011 zumeist in Buchform erschienen (als limitierte Künstlerbücher, zum Teil mit digitalen audiovisuellen Animationen auf DVD). Die den Fotos gegenübergestellten Texte erläuterten nicht die Bilder und diese illustrierten nicht die Texte. Beide trafen formal gebunden aufeinander, aber inhaltlich unabhängig mäanderten und umspielten sie sich und gingen eine Verbindung ein, die ohne logische Rechtfertigung war.

Street ideas, flowers and furniture – Philosophy of the Street

The “Philosophie der Straße II“ (“Philosophy of the Street II”), exhibited in the project space of projectSTRAND.org in the Potsdam Street, united texts, photographs, video films and object-installations. The approach to the reality of the street, photographically associated and full of metaphors, linked with philosophical texts, reflecting on the everyday phenomena of the experience, mirrored the existence of the street in the uninterrupted movement of its essence and thinking.
Until 2006/2007, Klie mainly chose the phenomena of everyday perceptions during journeys and in cities as subjects; he traveled to Madrid “Neubenennung–Wiederherstellung“, (“New terms–Restitution”, in 2005), to Vienna (“80 Ideas in situ”, in 2006), to Sweden and Norway (“Die anfängliche Hoffnung“/“Storyboard I–XII“, 2007 = “The Initial Hope”/“Storyboard I – XII, in 2007) and worked on digital pictorial animations in Berlin (“20 Street Ideas”, “Street Ideas 01 – 30”, in 2006).
“Street ideas, flowers and furniture”, a photo essay with 31 photographs and 31 texts, dedicated to Ludwig Wittgenstein in 2006, was the starting-point of about 30 aphoristic photo essays, which he mostly published as limited artist books (partly with digital audio-visual animations on DVD) until 2011. The photographs, facing the texts, did not interpret the pictures and those did not illustrate the texts. Both encountered one another, linked formally, but they independently meandered with regard to the contents, coquetting with each other and establishing a relation without any logical justification. g war.
